With encouragement from family and friends, Lauren created Savvy Sitter to bring that same personal approach to more Boston families—a simple, convenient way to find quality sitters they can feel confident welcoming into their homes. Every sitter on Savvy Sitter is personally known to Lauren and comes highly recommended.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Lauren moved to Boston after college and worked as a nanny for a local family while babysitting for dozens of others. Those experiences confirmed her passion for childcare and led to a role with an international au pair service, where she helped families find their au pair match. She later worked with students at an international business school, continuing to build connections with people from around the world.

Lauren has been babysitting throughout Boston since 2010 and has become a bit of a childcare matchmaker along the way! Through her personal network of nannies and experienced babysitters, she has helped local families find reliable care with people they can trust.
